Raj Sanghera was named acting vice president, Retail and Post Office Operations, in October 2024. She reports to the chief retail and delivery officer and executive vice president.

In this role, Sanghera oversees retail and post office operations for the nation’s largest retail network including more than 31,000 Post Offices. She is also responsible for the field maintenance organization, where she manages maintenance services for stations and branches to promote safety and health standards, reinforce postal policy and integrate operational excellence principles into field maintenance work practices.

Before, Sanghera served as district manager, California 1, overseeing more than 7,400 employees and serving over 1.3 million customers and delivery addresses daily. She also served as acting executive director, Level 1 Post Office Support; district manager, San Francisco; executive postmaster, San Francisco; and senior plant manager, San Francisco.

Sanghera began her Postal Service career in 1989 as a city carrier. She entered management as a supervisor of customer service and has served in a variety of leadership roles throughout her career.

Sanghera is a graduate of the Senior Executive Assessment and Development Center and the Advanced Leadership, Executive Foundations and Executive Leadership programs. She is also a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
