Vice President, Finance and Planning
Steven Darragh was named vice president, Finance and Planning, in February 2025. He reports to the chief financial officer and executive vice president.
In this role, Darragh is responsible for directing all financial planning activities, including short and long-range financial forecasts and annual budgets. With the Capital Planning Committee, Darragh reviews and approves annual and long-term capital investment plans and investment projects. He also supports revenue growth strategies by reviewing and approving regulatory prices changes and Negotiated Sales Agreements.
Before, Darragh served as executive director, Compensation and Benefits, where he led the Postal Service’s shift from Federal Employee Health Benefits to Postal Service Health Benefits program.
Darragh’s Postal Service career began in 1985. Early in his career he worked as a budget specialist and advanced by taking on roles with increasing levels of responsibility in the finance function at the former District, Area and Headquarters levels. He has also held several leadership roles, including area finance manager and director of Chief Information Office Business Services.
Darragh earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from George Mason University and holds a master’s degree in business administration from National Louis University. He has completed the Executive Leadership and Advanced Leadership programs and is Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified.
